Since 1989, the 12v has been putting farmers in total control. Powered by your vehicle battery or a spare 12v battery, the Longhorn® 12v provides ultimate portability.
The Longhorn® 12v can shear over 300 sheep from a spare Land Rover battery before recharging! You don't even need to have the engine running whilst shearing, just run the engine for 5 minutes every 2 to 3 hours to keep the battery topped up.
In addition to being used with a battery, it can also be used direct from mains when used with our Longhorn® Transformer which converts from 240 volts AC to 12 volts DC.

From 1st January 2023, all Longhorn® machines bought with a flexible drive are supplied with the Longhorn® EasyDrive adjustable driveshaft and require a 19mm internal diameter ferrule.
